Straighter Teeth Faster Than Before

A team at NYU’s College of Dentistry developed a new dental procedure that reduces the amount of time patients must wear braces. The procedure utilizes a process called micro-osteoperforation in which dentists drill small holes into patients’ gums to create inflammation. This inflammation can help to speed up the rate of tooth movement, thereby limiting the amount of time patients are required to wear braces. For the full article, click here.
