Scientists Create Smart Tooth That Can Monitor Health Habits

Researchers have created a “smart tooth” that detects how much time a person spends chewing, drinking, eating, coughing and reading. The smart tooth capitalizes on the fact that activities from chewing to drinking to tooth grinding, all cause the jaw to move in varying directions. Sensors embedded into the teeth can gather information and analyze what action patients are performing based on what way their jaws are moving.
